Airbus H145 helicopters are used for coastal bases (Rijeka and Split), and Airbus EC135 for continental ones (Osijek and Zagreb).

The external dimensions and technical characteristics of the mentioned helicopters facilitate access to the patient because they can land on different and much smaller surfaces. This directly affects the speed of treatment of emergency patients and greatly shortens their transport to the appropriate hospital, which is extremely important in the treatment of patients with head injuries, heart attacks, strokes, and other conditions where time is a critical factor for health outcomes.
